Sinopsis

In Brazilian economic history, the concept of economic cycle has been used to identify the growth and decline of plant extraction (pau-brasil and drogas do sertao), mineral extraction (gold and diamonds) and agricultural production (rubber, sugar cane, cocoa and coffee). Brazil was responsible for supplying raw materials in different periods or cycles, such as brazilwood, sugar cane, the drugs of the sertao or spices, mining, cattle and coffee until its industrialization process.
