Sinopsis

E-government initiatives are in their infancy in manydeveloping countries. The success of theseinitiatives is dependent on government support aswell as citizens? adoption of e-government services. To date, there has been little research exploring theadoption of e-government services by citizens indeveloping countries, a gap this book aims to addressin its attempt to explore the attitudes andperceptions of citizens towards the adoption ofe?government services. Factors that determine bothintention and use behaviour, such as performanceexpectancy and effort expectancy, are identifiedusing an amended version of the Unified Theory ofAcceptance and Use of Technology (UTAUT) model. Inaddition, factors that influence the adoption ofe-government services, such as technological andcultural factors, are also identified and analysed. This book is expected to deepen understanding of themost fruitful approaches to improving the provisionof e-government in general and the adoption ofe-government services in particular, and will be aninvaluable resource for decision makers, governmentleaders, professionals and researchers in the fieldof e-government.
