Sinopsis

Diabetes Mellitus is a lifestyle disease affecting almost 547 billion people globally. New treatment modalities, drugs and diagnostic techniques has made life easy for this morbid condition among patients. However, visual complications like retinopathy and secondary cataract tend to be severe in some patients leading to loss of vision. Dyslipidemia may be the underlying cause for these complications. A study at a tertiary care center supports this hypothesis and suggests that controlling lipid parameters may delay these visual complications.
